Creating Connection Through Song, Movement & Yoga

Bryony
My work is a weaving together of the arts, yoga, song, community, nature, and wellbeing.

For over 15 years, I have shared practices of yoga, breath, connection, and creativity with people of all ages and stages of life; from preschoolers to older adults in their nineties.
My teaching is informed by a lifelong love of dance and music, trauma-informed practice, Yoga Nidra, meditation, and a deep respect for the wisdom that lives within each person.

Alongside yoga, singing has been a constant thread throughout my life. I have performed and recorded in bands and vocal groups in the UK, Japan, and Canada, and today much of my work centres around creating spaces where people can experience the power of singing together. Through Singing Mamas, community song circles, workshops, retreats, and gatherings, I witness again and again how music can help us reconnect with ourselves, one another, and a sense of belonging.

Originally from Northwest England, I spent twelve years living in Japan before making my home on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples in what is now known as British Columbia, Canada. My life has been shaped by the creative arts, education, motherhood, travel, community, and a deep love of the natural world.

Looking back, I can see that what once appeared to be many different interests were really part of the same journey. Dance, theatre, music, yoga, meditation, education, nature, community, and wellbeing have all woven together to inform the work I share today.

I believe our voices matter. Our stories matter. Our creativity matters. Our wellbeing matters. And that when we gather in community, something beautiful becomes possible.

Whether through yoga, song, creative practice, or shared experience, my intention is to create welcoming spaces where people can breathe more deeply, listen more closely, and remember that they do not have to navigate life alone.
